Windows 2008 - NTP server

How to set up correct times within your domain.

The following command should be run on the Domain Controller that has the NTP role in your domain.

How to...

1. Check difference between your server and external time source (in my example si.pool.ntp.org):

w32tm /stripchart /computer:si.pool.ntp.org /samples:5 /dataonly

2. Confiure your server to use external NTP time source for sync:

w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:si.pool.ntp.org,0×8, /syncfromflags:manual /update

3. Force sync immediately:

w32tm /resync
